UK’s largest annual composites engineering gathering almost sold out

Advanced Engineering 2018, which takes place from 31 October to 1 November has announced that the exhibition space in its Composites Engineering zone is nearly sold out with only four stands remaining. The zone has already attracted leading names from the industry including PRF Composite Materials and Tygavac Advanced Materials, who are keen to meet and do business with others in the industry.

The show has many features this year: a dedicated zone for Industry 4.0, Connected Manufacturing; a dedicated area celebrating innovation; and a co-locating show, Lab Innovations, for laboratory manufacturers and suppliers.

Showing no signs of slowing down

The rise of composite materials continues across an ever-increasing number of applications. The advances provided by composite materials within automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, construction and oil and gas, to name just a few, are revolutionising businesses and benefiting millions of people.

With the industry showing no signs of slowing down, Alison Willis, industrial divisional director at Easyfairs, said: “The composites business continues its relentless path of high growth and extensive innovations, giving birth to a wide range of applications across high value manufacturing sectors. That includes but is not restricted to planes, trains and automobiles, through to oil and gas; benefitting billions of people worldwide who consume these products – which means anyone with a pulse.”

“And the industry shows no sign of slowing down. This year, as in previous years, we will welcome thousands of visitors and exhibitors whose businesses are in composites and their applications. Come along and see for yourself the fantastic industry we have.”

Celebrating tenth year

The Advanced Engineering Show is celebrating its tenth year joining together UK supply chain professionals and engineering management, spanning: process, control and plant industries; R&D; design; test; production and procurement from OEMs, integrators and top tier industry players within multiple industries.

With around 600 exhibiting firms and six CPD accredited open forums filled with over 200 presentations, Advanced Engineering 2018 brings together firms all looking to source, specify and invest in the latest industry innovations and latest products. Last year alone saw a 15% rise in attendance and this year looks set to continue that trend.

UK's largest annual gathering

The exhibition is the UK's largest annual gathering of composites professionals. It connects the entire supply chain of the UK’s advanced engineering industry with R&D, design, test, production and procurement from large and small companies, through to top tier industry players in a two-day free to attend exhibition and high-level conference.

Visitors will see cutting edge technology and materials, everything that is needed in today’s composites industry, including: raw materials and chemicals; semi-finished and intermediate products; composites design, analysis and simulation; trade processors and fabricators; processing technology equipment; tooling and ancillaries; composites machining and joining; composite assembly and automation technology; composites finishing technologies; composites maintenance and recycling; composites training and more.
