Toray Industries will highlight the latest advances in aerospace materials technology at the upcoming Paris Air Show, a largest aerospace industry exhibition that takes place next week.

At the show, the company will further define performance advancements in Torayca T1100 Carbon Fibre. Toray’s T1100 has established a new class of carbon fibre (Intermediate Modulus +) by offering significant improvements in both tensile and modulus strengths vs traditional intermediate modulus fibres, the company explains.

“The Paris Air Show enables us to engage with our customers and understand the changing trajectory of the industry,” said Tim Kirk, Vice President of Aerospace Sales for Toray Composite Materials America. “It provides a great opportunity to showcase our value-add – both now and for the future.”

Toray will also promote its extended capabilities, which now include the market leading Cetex thermoplastic composite materials, following their acquisition of TenCate Advanced Composites, since renamed to Toray Advanced Composites, in July of 2018. This is Toray Advanced Composites’ first joint event since joining the Toray Group.

“The aerospace market is growing at a rate that demands innovation and capacity. Together with the combined value of Toray, we’re perfectly positioned to support our customers better than ever,” commented Frank Meurs, Managing Director for Toray Advanced Composites.
