Shape Machining launches late shift

UK-based composites manufacturer Shape Machining, known for machining high quality one-off patterns and moulds, has announced it now has a late shift in place. “We have strengthened our team with additional pattern makers, programmers and CNC machinists and extended the working day with a late shift,” commented Peter McCool, Managing Director.

The company operates seven days a week and the additional late shift will operate up to midnight on weekdays. The late shift will operate all year round, the company adds.

“This is all part of our drive to continually improve the level of service we offer our customers,” added Mr McCool. “With the late shift in operation there are more machining hours in the day and we know this increased capacity along with faster turnaround times is just what our customers require.”

Shape Machining specialises in machining metallic tools, epoxy tooling block patterns, Rohacell foams and the trimming of carbon fibre parts for the automotive, motorsport and aerospace industry. Shape Engineering offers a full range of design, analysis and project management services to support composite industry.
