Recognition for MPM

Glass fibre-based composites manufacturer MPM is anticipating its best year ever and planning to add another 4,000 square feet of manufacturing space at its base in Pudsey, West Yorkshire, UK.

MPM is anticipating growth of 40% for 2016, having increased its turnover by 20% year-on-year over the past five years.

The company also received recognition at the recent 2016 Composite UK Awards, with James Kilbane, 19, receiving the Apprentice of the Year Award, while the company also won the Health and Safety Award for outstanding safety practices in the workplace.

“I’m very proud of the way our organisation is developing and growing,” said director Ben Wilson. “We are delighted to once again receive external validation from the Composite UK Awards as they have recognised the work we do throughout the business to create a truly great place to work. James Kilbane thoroughly deserved to win the Apprentice of the Year award, and it is great to see that our investment in an in-house apprenticeship scheme is going from strength to strength.”

MPM makes fibreglass moulds and resin transfer moulded parts for customers including Trojan Plastics, MX Trays, Hangfast and Ginetta Cars.
