Soft case with a carbon composites structure. © MaliganMaligan, of São Paulo, Brazil, specialises in the manufacture of special luggage and cases and has just launched a soft case for the packaging and transportation of medical equipment with a rigid carbon composites structure.

 “It’s a material that combines high levels of mechanical resistance and lightness which is an ideal characteristics for this usage,” said Marcelo Sartore, director of Maligan. “Another differential is the laser cutting of expanded polyethylene foams applied inside the product which are all tailor-made to safely contain any kind of medical equipment, such as endoscopes, laparoscopy clamps, ultrasound and urological sets.”

Maligan’s soft case features an EVA finish and a polyurethane-shaped blanket with eco-leather and reinforced zipper closure on the outside.

“In addition to doctors health professionals in general, companies specializing in equipment rental are part of the target audience of our product,” Sartore said.
