Roth Composite Machinery, a leading expert in special-purpose mechanical engineering from Steffenberg, Germany, will be exhibiting at Composites Europe in Stuttgart, from 10-12 September.
Roth will present its machine manufacturer competences in filament winding and prepreg at the European trade show and forum for composite materials, technology and applications. In the course of the flanking International Composites Conference, Dr Andreas Reimann, Managing Director of Roth Composite Machinery, will lecture on possibilities of productivity increases in filament winding processes for the production of pressure vessels.
The company will present its established machine concepts including robot filament winding processes. These are suitable for R&D and for small series production.
Additional highlight of the trade fair presentation is the machine Type 1-ECO. Roth Composite Machinery developed this product line as standardised version of the gantry-type filament winding machines being its most successful tailor-made machines on the market.
“For Roth, this is an entry into the serial production of filament winding machines. The Type 1-ECO machine is equipped with all essential basic functions and offers particularly cost-conscious newcomers in the filament winding technology the attributes robustness, durability and precision Roth is known for,” the company explains.
“The new machine is convincing with its modular concept of up to four spindles. A maximum of four winding axes and two length variants (up to 4,000 and up to 10,000 millimetres) are configurable. Each spindle is driven separately and thus, a simple and cost-effective adaption of additional spindles is possible.”
