New version of Laminate Tools software released

Anaglyph, a UK based developer of software tools for the engineering sector, has announced the release of a new version 4.8 of its composites design and analysis software Laminate Tools.

“Laminate Tools Version 4.8 introduces a substantial number of new features in the Design, Analysis, Check and Manufacture modules,” the company explains. “A new option for ply Forming will address a longstanding user request. A new mesher for CAD import delivers better and faster results. Functions to manipulate the mesh, plies and layup have been improved.”

“Other additions include H3D FEA results import, as well as support for Rhino v6 and Abaqus 2018. Across the board, modules have been enriched with features based almost exclusively on user input.”

Laminate Tools is a stand-alone Windows application that addresses the entire geometry import-design-analysis-check-manufacture process of composites structural design. It links the various disciplines, communicates original data between all involved in the process and saves valuable team time.

Laminate Tools interfaces with most CAD and FEA applications, allowing for a flexible work flow. It is used by composite structures designers and stress analysts in automotive, aerospace, marine, energy and leisure, the company reports.

Anaglyph is a leading developer and supplier of composites design, analysis and manufacturing software: Laminate Tools, CoDA and LAP. All Anaglyph products are stand alone, but interface with most industry standards. Anaglyph also developed a ply positioning technology PlyMatch for hand lay-up manufacturing.
