New products from Scott Bader at JEC World 2019

The new Crestafire intumescent FST system, and Crestapol 1270, a new premium urethane acrylate resin for SMC and BMC, will be launched by Scott Bader at its stand M27 in Hall 6 at the fortcoming JEC World in Paris.

The company will also be introducing Crestamould as its new brand for matched tooling systems.

Launched at JEC 2018 the Crestafire FST range has gone from strength to strength, and this year Scott Bader is adding a highly innovative intumescent FST system. The new Crestafire system has EN45545-2 and HL2 (R1) approval ensuring it meets the stringent fire requirements for the rail industry.

Neil Gray, global market manager of FST Performance Products will be making a presentation about the new system at the JEC World Composites in Action conference, on 13 March from 14.30 to 15.00 in the Forum.

Scott Bader’s Crestapol resins are known to produce tough lightweight composite components.  

Its other key products and services include:

  • Crystic Ecogel ultra-low styrene spray gelcoats, including the ‘zero’ styrene Ecogel S0 PA grade.
  • Crestomer, Crestabond and Crestafix structural adhesives and bonding pastes.
  • The rapid GelTint service which can mix gelcoats in a wide range of RAL, BS, NCS and custom colours.

Visitors to the stand will also have the opportunity to see a Cobra Shelby supercar from South African company Backdraft Racing owned by former racing driver Tony Martin. The car’s composite bodies are completely built using Scott Bader resins, gelcoats and adhesive systems.
