Improved dimensional accuracy with RP800

PRF Composite Materials, based in Poole, UK, is launching the new RP800 epoxy tooling prepreg system.

Providing the exceptional quality of PRF’s RP802 Overnight cure, the new system has a 12-hour cure at 50°C and an out life in excess of five days at 20°C.

“RP800 has received outstanding customer feedback, particularly in terms of the quality of the surface finish in the tool, even after repeated mouldings,” said MD Robert Burnell. “This new product provides an additional option for customers requiring improved dimensional accuracy of the finished tool.”

PRF Composite Materials is a leading manufacturer and supplier of high performance materials for the advanced composites industry. Formed in 1982, PRF has since become a reputable supplier to the automotive, motorsport, aerospace, defence, wind energy, marine, sports and medical industries.

The last three years have seen substantial development at PRF Composite Materials. After moving into its new factory in 2010, the company now has two facilities which encompass the state-of-the-art prepreg manufacturing line, the rapid-response warehouse and the new purpose-built kitting and preforming centre.
