GRP takes on challenge to support children’s hospices

The company’s goal is to climb the three highest peaks in Scotland, Wales and England. © GRP Solutions This weekend, from 21-23 September, a team from GRP Solutions will be fulfilling its promise to support the local community through its Three Peaks Challenge. The company will be raising much needed funds for Naomi House and Jacksplace children’s hospices during their 21st year of providing care.

Naomi House & Jacksplace hospices have supported thousands of life limited and life threatened children, young people and their families. With only 9% of their income coming from statutory/government sources, they need help to raise over £8 million per year.

A team from GRP Solutions made up of Brian Harpur, Dave Bancroft, Ian McIntosh (& family), Russ Garner, Lee Williamson, Katie Johnson, Michele Harpur, Wayne Morris, Jay Kane & Jack Harpur are taking on the challenge.

The company’s goal is to climb the three highest peaks in Scotland, Wales and England (Ben Nevis – 1,345 m, Snowdon – 1,085 m and Scarfell Pike – 978 m). A total distance of 26 miles with a total assent of 3,000 m. The team will start on 21 September and finish on 23 September. The aim is to inspire as many colleagues, friends, suppliers and customers to join the company on each part of the challenge in order to raise awareness and money for children and young people. The company aims to reach its goal of raising in excess of £5,000. So far, £3,253 has been raised.

“This will be a tough challenge, not least because of the weather conditions, but we are delighted to support such an amazing charity. We know that caring for people in our community is good for them, us and our customers and suppliers,” commented Brian Harpur, Managing Director of GRP Solutions.
