Both Compotech AG UK, a manufacturer and supplier of tailored composite solutions, and Flexix, a provider of technological solutions in rubber and special elastomer injected or extruded parts and assemblies, will be represented at the upcoming Advanced Engineering exhibition in Birmingham from 30-31 October this year.

Compotech, renowned for its efficient SMC capabilities serving the rail, commercial vehicle, machine covers and sanitary markets for over 40 years, now has a full range of capabilities for composites and fibreglass production with its new Hungarian based lower volume RTM and hand lay-up facilities. On show will be parts for rail, transport, automotive, machine covers and sanitary markets.

Flexix, new to the UK market this year, but with over 40 years of experience in providing solutions in rubber, rubber-metal and elastomers, will have a range of its products on show, including automotive and specialist rail track products.

The rise of composites continues across an ever-increasing number of applications, and with the industry showing no signs of slowing down, the Composites Engineering part of the show has yet again proved itself as one of the world’s most important composite raw material, design, processing and applications events last year.

The technical conference programme attracted a lot of interest, with hundreds of engineering experts speaking about the latest innovations, challenges and opportunities in the industry.

“As the UK's largest annual advanced manufacturing trade show, Advanced Engineering is your opportunity to meet and network with OEMs and supply chain partners spanning design, test, measurement, inspection, production, and assembly, reaching into the key sectors of aerospace, automotive, civil, rail, transport and more,” organisers report.
