Engineering Materials Live heads back to Duxford

The event offers visitors an opportunity to meet with the experts in lightweighting and advanced composites and find an innovative solution. After another successful event at the National Motorcycle Museum in May, Engineering Materials Live is heading back to the Imperial War Museum, Duxford, in Cambridgeshire, on 20 September. Engineering Materials Live is a specialist OEM engineering event delivering a focused showcase for providers of engineering materials and related products and services.

Engineering Materials uses a road show style template that restores some traditional value for exhibitors, according to organisers. The format replicates the outstandingly successful and nationally promoted FAST Exhibition, which Engineering Materials Live is being held alongside.

Exhibiting companies will include specialists in plastics, rubbers, metals, composites, ceramics, alloys, lightweighting solutions, injection moulding, rapid prototyping, additive manufacturing, metal fabricators, design software (simulation, FEA, CFD), materials testing, design consultancy, minerals and natural fibres, sustainable materials, glass, carbon fibre, expanded materials, foams, coatings and finishing, conductive materials, and surface treatment.

The event offers visitors an opportunity to meet with the experts in lightweighting and advanced composites and find an innovative solution. The show features live product demos, with many exhibitors launching products. Attendees will also learn from technical seminars that seminars focus on a variety of practical solutions covering many engineering applications and design needs, including lightweighting, surface treatment, high temperature materials and alternative materials selection.

“It was so refreshing to attend a well organised and publicised event that managed to condense 600 visitors into a single day. Set up and breakdown couldn’t have been easier making for an overall enjoyable experience whilst obtaining a number of quality leads and contacts,” commented Metal Improvement Company, which exhibited at the last edition of the show.

Among exhibitors this September will be Advanced Adhesives, Corex Honeycomb, FATH Components, Henkel Loctite, Lohmann Technologies UK, RPS, Tufnol Composites, and more.
