CRP Technology, an Italy-based leader in Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) technology with its patented high-performance composite materials Windform, will for the first time attend the CNES 2019 event in Bordeaux, from 2-3 April. The company will present on the topic of Racetrack to Orbit: an additive revolution with Windform and will also display the latest applications in 3D printing and Windform composite materials for aerospace, defence and space sectors.

The manufacturer will explain how the use of Windform composite materials, originally developed for the motorsports industry, is now finding many uses in space exploration. It will also demonstrate the effectiveness of additive manufacturing and the use of Windform as a structural material for space applications.

Highlighted at CNES conference will be the case studies that follow the successful construction and launch of many smallsats. The presentation will take place on 2 April as part of the Materiaux, Machines, and Fabrication section.

The company recently achieved the ISO 9001: 2015 standard regarding the manufacture of 3D printed parts and the production of Windform composite materials for SLS technology. The new certification is in line with the new strategy decided by the board management, as well as the quality of the production process achieved from CRP Technology.
