Composites specialists join trade mission to South Korea

The aim of the trade mission is to develop strong international partnerships for future collaboration and commercialisation.Composites UK members Shape Machining, a leading composites manufacturer, Oxford Advanced Surfaces, a specialist surface modification and advanced materials company, and Bindatex Advanced Materials Cutting, which undertakes the precision cutting of composite materials, have gained a place on a Global Business Innovation Program.

The companies have been selected to join an Innovate UK funded trade mission to South Korea that will take place from 11-17 November 2018. The delegation includes 15 companies from the UK's advanced materials sector along with Innovate UK representatives, the Department for International Trade and the Enterprise Europe Network.

The visit will give the companies the opportunity to visit research centres, including AMRC Korea, meet South Korean companies and attend international exhibitions, including JEC Asia, which will be held in Seoul from 14-16 November.

The aim of the trade mission is to develop strong international partnerships for future collaboration and commercialisation.

Innovate UK is the operating name of the Technology Strategy Board, the UK's innovation agency. It is a UK non-departmental public body operating at arm's length from the Government reporting to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. Innovate UK is now part of UK Research and Innovation.
