Industry 4.0 is a “smart factory” initiative that drives the use of cyber-physical systems. © Composites UKIndustry 4.0 – the 4th industrial revolution – is a “smart factory” initiative that drives the use of cyber-physical systems, Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, cloud based and cognitive computing to create virtual copies of the physical environment, intelligently monitor and control physical processes and delivering industrially focussed decision support systems to enhance productivity and efficiency across a broad range of industrial and business processes.

The Composites 4.0 event will take place on 4 June at the Manufacturing Technology Centre, Coventry. The programme will include sessions discussing the opportunities and challenges of Industry 4.0, the future of finance in the digital world, implementing AI in composites manufacturing, simulation driven composite design, and more.

Ian Gardner, IBM, will deliver a keynote speech on Digital Manufacturing, Machine Learning, AI, Big Data and Cloud Computing.
