Mitsubishi Chemical (MCC) will display a portfolio of innovative lightweight materials in Paris at JEC World 2020, the leading international composites show. Combining the power of MCC’s group companies in the carbon fibre, thermoset and thermoplastic composites business, customers can benefit from this integrated supply chain.
From material production to material processing or semi-finished parts, visitors can find information and advice on the different types of materials and applications. With the recent acquisition of the Prepreg company c-m-p, MCC is able to produce carbon fibre composite materials in Europe, react even more flexibly to customer’s requests and develop tailor- made solutions.
For the first time, Mitsubishi Chemical presents a fully validated Forged Molding Compound (CF- FMC) material data card for post-failure analysis to the market. “The material card enables our customers to predict the static and dynamic behaviour of the CF-FMC. In combination with the right composite design and process this material system can offer a vast variety of new applications,” says Paolo Feraboli, Global CF-FMC Engineering Leader at Mitsubishi Chemical Carbon Fiber and Composites.
Durability, strength and lightweight make composite materials ideal for the automotive, aerospace, medical and sports/leisure sectors. At the stand, customers can find solutions for these industries and many more with MCC’s group companies: Mitsubishi Chemical Carbon Fiber and Composites, Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials and Composites (MCAM), Wethje Carbon Composites (WCC) and Nippon Gohsei Europe.
Mitsubishi Chemical is located in hall 6, stand H50. The company c-m-p, the latest addition to Mitsubishi Chemical, is located in hall 5, booth F9.
