Ahlstrom launches AceBlade for wind energy market

Ahlstrom, a high performance fibre-based materials company, has launched Ahlstrom AceBlade, a new product for the wind energy market.

AceBlade is an unidirectional glass fibre reinforcement with superior fatigue resistance and enhanced mechanical properties. The wind energy industry is facing a challenge of producing longer and lighter blades and patent-pending AceBlade addresses this market need, the company believes.

Cost effective

Ahlstrom AceBlade is expected to deliver significant benefits for designers and manufacturers of wind turbine blades, as it is said to be a cost effective solution for vacuum infusion processes, with exceptional mechanical performance.
