Keynote speakers for Advanced Engineering announced

Advanced Engineering 2017 has announced its keynote speakers, which will include talks from NetComposites, MHI Vestas and National Composites Centre. Topics will include how specific engineering problems have been overcome, as well as more strategic issues such as the fourth industrial revolution, Brexit, and additive manufacturing.

During the two-day open conference, which takes place from 1-2 November in Birmingham, visitors will be able to hear from leading names within the composites industry covering topics that effect the industry every working day.

Keynote speaker Alex Aucken, from Composites Leadership Forum Skills Working Group (CLF), will be presenting on day one. Issues will also be covered by CompoSIDE, Auxilium, Cermicx, Solent Composites, Marcello Grassi and many more.

The Composites UK Awards 2017 will also be taking place on day one.

Advanced Engineering 2017

Advanced Engineering 2017 is the place where the UK supply chain meets face-to-face with engineering management, spanning: process, control and plant industries; R&D; design; test; production and procurement from OEMs, integrators and top tier industry players within multiple industries.

Advanced Engineering 2017 comprises five co-locating zones: Aero Engineering; Composites Engineering; Automotive Engineering; Performance Metals Engineering; and Connected Manufacturing. New for this year is a dedicated zone for industry 4.0, Connected Manufacturing; and an expanded zone for start-ups sponsored by Magna International.

Now in its ninth year, the show is set for record breaking visitor numbers, bringing together over 600 exhibiting firm, organisers report.
